Among the challenges facing the world, perhaps none is more important than ensuring adequate supplies of clean water for all the many needs and purposes people have. In many developing countries, the consequences of the lack of these most basic services impacts mortality, especially children mortality, health, education opportunities, and social development. Water Tariffs in Chile
The highest water tariff is in Coyhaique where water is not a scarce resource, followed by Antofagasta and Iquique located in the desert of Atacama, the dryest desert of the world. Hence, consumers do not face the correct incentives.
